The house presents to the street as a pair of gabled forms — a low entry portico stepped forward of the main roof, with the upper floor set back behind it. Painted weatherboard cladding and a stone base keep the elevation quiet from the footpath.

Living areas run to the rear of the ground floor and open onto a covered alfresco that sits level with the pool terrace, so the entertaining space reads as one room whether the doors are open or shut.

Internally the palette stays deliberately restrained: white joinery, stone benchtops, timber-look flooring and black tapware, with the material interest concentrated in the wet areas.
